Mark van Baal and Tarek Bouhouch addressed the Shell board on May 29 in London, urging the oil giant to align its targets with the Paris climate agreement.

Follow This urged the board and shareholders to step outside of their comfort zone.

“It’s hard to speak to stony faces, however, I hope you are paying close attention to a shareholder who represents the concerns of around 20% of your shareholders.” […]

“Dear shareholders, are we not going to solve the climate crisis because these boards don’t want to get outside their comfort zones? That’s an outcome that I, and many others, including many of your shareholders, do not want to accept.”
