Nieuwsuur | In 2021, Friends of the Earth Netherlands (Milieudefensie) won a climate lawsuit against Shell. The Dutch court decided the oil giant should align its plans with the Paris climate agreement. Shell appealed; the hearings will start on 2 April 2024 in The Hague.
