Fossil fuel transportation plays a significant role in the shipping industry. Nearly 40% of global shipping is dedicated to moving fossil fuels (oil, coal, gas) around the world.

This reliance on fossil fuels not only contributes to carbon emissions but also necessitates a large number of ships, increasing issues like piracy and noise pollution affecting marine life.

Statistics like these emphasize the inherent wastefulness of fossil fuels, which require continuous extraction and transportation. Renewable energy sources, on the other hand, offer a more sustainable and less environmentally damaging alternative.

Transitioning away from fossil fuels would not only reduce carbon emissions but also decrease our reliance on shipping, leading to a less impactful and more sustainable transportation sector.
